Dowager Viscountess Violet BridgertonThe Dowager Viscountess Bridgerton or "Violet" as she is known to her friends, of whom she has many, is the foundation upon which the Bridgerton family is built. She was the beloved wife of the Viscount Edmund Bridgerton, but tragically lost her husband to a fatal bee sting. Devasted by the loss of her spouse, Violet found herself with eight children to raise on her own. Violet rises to the occasion, and lives to see her sons and daughters marry for love, as she did, and begin to raise their own families promising her many beautiful grandchildren. Like fine wine, Violet has only become more lovely with time. Sleeping passions arise when Violet meets a tall, dark, stranger who turns out to be the brother of her best friend, Lady Danbury. Sparks fly and passion turns to tea time, however Violet explains that at this particular private tea party . . . SHE is the tea!
